Our Success is defined and measured
differently by God. God's measure of our success is with
our faithfulness to Him, his measure of our success is if we are being loyal to
Him or not in our relationship with God and whether we are accomplishing God's
goals and purposes for our life.
He gains our ability to understand His
beautiful ways and we also gain a rich prayer life and we start to operate from
His perspective as we see the things in life like the way He does.
Jesus said that the reason he came down
to Earth was so that everyone would have the fullest life possible. Isn't that what you want?
The fullest life possible? Another time he promised that when we
obey to God as our first priority, all the things we need in this world will be
provided for us. Yes, For us. God is all about SUCCESS including your
Success.
Nowadays, the standards for success are
measured by the level of education we have attained, the amount of money we
have in the bank, the size of our house or lots, or how much material
possessions we own.
Most people do define success in terms
of achieving obtaining wealth, our goals, having prestige, favour, and
power.
It is a fact that most people do enjoy
a well living life being emotionally and financially secure, being surrounded
by fans or admirers, and enjoying the results of hard work or labor.
Their like or example is emulated and
multiplies. Many people take a heed of their
accomplishments. It's like the definitions of success
matters and deal only with the "at this very moment; at the present
time" of life.
Education is important; we should go
for all that is available to us. And there's nothing really wrong with a
good career, life and wealth that we have.
But in reality, it is how we treat
other people and what we do with our education and money that people will remember
long after we are gone, that is more important.
True success can only be measured at the end of our lives by how we used what we had to serve society and honor God. This is only the kind of success that can never be taken away from you.
It is priceless.
Well for you, How do you measure success? Let
us say you had a lot of money, you are very rich and have so many
business.
Anything that you wanted, you could
buy. Now, you'd probably have a pretty long
shopping list. And with all that money, many people would say that you are
successful. But what about the other lists? The
real list of things that money can't buy. The list that comes from the heart.
The real list probably includes: you
desired to be loved; you want your family to get along and happy; you need
to be accepted just the way you are.
And you want that hole in your heart
filled, which only God can do.
Work for true success and that is none
other than success of the heart.
Read verse Matthew 5:44-45 for ways to
do this
44"But I say to you, love your
enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 "So that you may be sons of
your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the
good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
43 "Ye have heard that it hath
been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
Matthew 6:25-34 New International
Version (NIV)
Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
26 Look at the birds of the air; they
do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds
them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27 Can any one of you by worrying add a
single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes?
See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon
in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God
clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into
the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall
we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For the pagans run after all these
things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 But seek first his kingdom and his
righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
34 Therefore do not worry about
tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of
its own.
